In response to the panel: "Fortress Capital: Investing in Security, Sovereignty & Survival Assets (2026-2035)"

The opening of discussions at the Luxembourg summit set the tone with a panel devoted to sovereignty and survival assets. Moderated by experts in finance and strategy, this debate explored how family offices are redirecting their allocations toward critical sectors: cybersecurity, sensitive infrastructure, military and space technologies, and sovereign value chains. A central question emerged: how can these defensive postures be turned into structuring investment opportunities for the decade ahead?

This search for resilience and sovereignty finds a very concrete echo in Mandalore Partners' portfolio, which has identified the potential of critical technologies for several years. Several of its holdings illustrate this "Fortress Capital" trend perfectly.

In digital security and data sovereignty, Ledger is far more than a French unicorn: it is a systemic player. By securing more than 20% of global digital assets, the company has become critical infrastructure for the digital economy and a rampart against the vulnerability of private keys. Its adoption by financial institutions and companies shows that sovereignty over one's assets is now a strategic imperative.

The survival and resilience dimension can also be understood through the prism of health and prevention, a strong focus of the Impacttech fund. Huma, a digital-health startup, develops remote-care and patient-monitoring platforms using AI. In a world facing pandemic risks (a contingency scenario raised at the panel), such technologies become health-sovereignty assets, enabling health systems to manage crises while ensuring continuity of care. It is a form of critical infrastructure for the future.

Finally, the dual-use technologies and industrial-resilience strand is embodied by Mob-Energy. Its electric-vehicle charging solution, based on second-life batteries, addresses a dual sovereignty challenge: securing energy supply chains by reducing dependence on critical raw materials (through reuse) and strengthening the autonomy of mobility infrastructure. It is a perfect illustration of what the panel speakers call investment in "survival assets", those assets that ensure the continuity of our societies in the face of disruption.

As the notion of a "fortress" evolves from a physical concept to a technological and systemic reality, the summit's message is clear: security and sovereignty have become asset classes in their own right. For family offices, having exposure to them is no longer a matter of precaution, but a strategic allocation to the pillars of our future resilience.
