From 17 to 20 June 2026, Paris hosts the 10th edition of VivaTech - Viva Technology - Europe's largest trade show dedicated to innovation, startups and digital transformation. Mandalore Partners will be present at this anniversary event, held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, in the 15th arrondissement of the capital.

VivaTech, ten years of European innovation

Launched in 2016 at the initiative of Publicis Groupe and Les Echos-Le Parisien Événements, VivaTech has established itself in a decade as the reference gathering of the European tech ecosystem. In ten years, the event has seen 300% audience growth, from 45,000 visitors at its first edition to more than 180,000 in 2025, representing 171 countries.

For this 10th anniversary edition, VivaTech is raising its ambitions. The event occupies Hall 7 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles over three floors, with exhibition space expanded by 30%. Some 15,000 startups will be present, 4,000 investors take part in business meetings, and more than 450 speakers will follow one another on stage, with advertised parity of 50% women. More than 1,500 live demonstrations and 4,000 scheduled business meetings make this edition the densest in the show's history.

The theme of the 2026 edition: "AI: Impact, Not Illusion"

The 10th edition is structured around a deliberately ambitious editorial axis: "Artificial Intelligence: Impact, Not Illusion". This positioning reflects the maturity of the debate around AI: after several years of enthusiasm about the technology's potential, VivaTech 2026 intends to recentre conversations on concrete uses, measurable results and real impact on organisations and society.

Nine themes structure the programming of this edition:

  • AI & Productivity - brain-computer interfaces, autonomous agents, exoskeletons and cognitive automation
  • Sovereignty & Ethics - European digital sovereignty, regulation, trust in systems
  • Cybersecurity & Defence - resilience of critical infrastructure, hybrid threats
  • GreenTech & Energy - decarbonisation technologies, energy efficiency, industrial transitions
  • Health & Longevity - medical AI, medtech, augmented diagnostics
  • Deeptech - quantum computing, advanced materials, biotechnologies
  • Fintech & Markets - financial infrastructure, embedded finance, digital assets
  • Creator Economy & Talent - the creator economy, training and the skills of tomorrow
  • Scale-up & Growth - internationalisation strategies for European technology champions

An exceptional programme for an anniversary edition

Beyond the thematic stakes, VivaTech 2026 stands out with an expanded format. For the first time in its history, the show leaves its walls: on 14 June, as a preview, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées will be pedestrianised to host a free demonstration open to all - robots, drones, immersive AI, mobility, health, space technologies. More than 35 innovations will be testable outdoors, from 12:00 to 18:00.

The first three days (17, 18 and 19 June) are dedicated to a professional audience - conferences, keynotes, startup pitches, business meetings and networking among investors, executives and innovation teams. 20 June becomes VivaTech Festival, a day designed for 18-35 year-olds, around AI and society, the creator economy and the talent of tomorrow. The country in the spotlight for this 10th edition is Germany.

Announced speakers include Bernard Arnault (LVMH), Rodolphe Saadé (CMA CGM), Glenn D. Fogel (Booking.com), as well as leading institutional representatives such as Henna Virkkunen, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of tech sovereignty, and Anne Le Hénanff, minister delegate for AI and the digital sector.

Why VivaTech is a strategic gathering for venture capital

VivaTech is not only a product-innovation show. It is also one of Europe's densest crossroads for players in innovation financing: with more than 4,000 investors registered for the 2026 edition and thousands of B2B meetings organised in advance, the show is a unique concentration point for European and international dealflow.

For VC teams and players in innovation financing, VivaTech offers a cross-cutting view of the state of the startup ecosystem: from the earliest stages (early-stage, seed) through to unicorns and centaurs seeking growth capital. The 2026 themes - AI, deeptech, GreenTech, cybersecurity - correspond precisely to the sectors where investment activity remains the most dynamic despite a market environment that demands more selectivity.

It is also a privileged moment to observe the trends that shape capital allocation at European scale: which sectors capture the attention of institutional LPs? Which geographies are gaining attractiveness? What is the real state of the exit market? Over four days, VivaTech concentrates answers to these questions that few other events make it possible to grasp as directly.
