InsurTech & FinTech newsletter - June 2026

News from Ledger, Nalo, Mipise and Iznes.

5 min read

June 2026 opens on a sequence of strategic twists for our InsurTech and FinTech holdings. Ledger's decision to suspend its US IPO is undoubtedly the most striking financial news of the half-year in the European crypto ecosystem. In the background, the digital asset market is going through a correction that is redrawing players' priorities in the sector. Meanwhile, Nalo is intensifying its summer referral programme, Iznes continues its institutional rollout and Pledger is benefiting from a still-supportive rate environment. Here is the key news of the month.

IPO put on pause: the reasons for a strategic brake

On 13 May 2026, CoinDesk reveals that Ledger has suspended its US IPO plans, joining Kraken on the sidelines. The news lands as a cold shower for a sector that was betting on 2026 as the year of major crypto listings. The causes are clear: Bitcoin market correction (around $69,552, or -45% versus the October 2025 peak at $126,080), falling trading volumes, and public markets' distrust of crypto players — BitGo, the only crypto IPO of 2026, saw its share price drop -44% as early as the second day of listing.

Concretely, Ledger has not filed the S-1 form with the SEC — the first mandatory step in any US IPO process. Goldman Sachs, Jefferies and Barclays, mandated at the beginning of the year, see their mission frozen. Ledger is now exploring a private fundraising as an alternative. "Ledger has several options," CoinDesk specifies, citing sources close to the matter.

What this pause does not call into question

Beyond the listing timetable, Ledger's fundamentals remain intact. The Paris startup secures more than $100 billion in crypto assets for its clients, has sold more than 8 million devices in 200 countries, and claims 20% of global crypto-assets protected. Ledger Enterprise's New York office — inaugurated with the appointment of the new CFO John Andrews (ex-Circle, appointed in March 2026) — continues to operate and to anchor the company's institutional presence in the United States.

Journal du Coin publishes on 22 June a feature "7 good reasons to buy a Ledger signer in 2026" — a sign that retail demand for self-custody remains strong, independently of the listing parenthesis. Ledger Wallet (formerly Ledger Live) was also updated on 25 June 2026. The New York developer events (8-10 June and 12-14 June) confirm that the technical ecosystem continues to grow.

The 2026 AI Roadmap (Agent Identity Q2, Agent Policies Q4) remains on track. The IPO could resume in the second half of 2026 if market conditions improve — notably if Bitcoin returns to stable levels above $80,000.

  • No operational problem: the Ledger Wallet service is stable, no incident reported (22 June 2026)
  • AI boom in 2026: investor capital is shifting towards AI (Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceX) — an unfavourable context for crypto IPOs
  • Conditional crypto IPO window: reopening expected H2 2026 depending on token prices and volumes

Nalo

Summer referral programme — up to €1,000 offered

Nalo is activating in June 2026 its summer referral programme with an attractive offer: up to €500 for the referrer and €500 for the referee (depending on the initial contribution), plus 3 months of management fees offered for each party. This type of marketing operation in the summer period targets an audience looking for summer investments, a timely moment for a wealth review. With its 20,000+ clients and €400 million under management, Nalo is seeking to reach the one-billion-euro AUM milestone via a viral growth strategy.

The market context favours inflows: short-term rates remain attractive (Generali Netissima euro funds above 3.5% net), equity ETFs have performed well over a rolling 12 months, and demand for digitised life insurance is not weakening. Nalo Flex — with its 10 simultaneous projects in a single contract — remains a differentiating product versus traditional players.

Mipise

Mipise continues in June 2026 the development of its white-label crowdfunding platforms and its digital financial flow solutions, in a European regulatory context in full mutation (transposition of crowdfunding directives). The company remains a reference player in its market with €400 million in cumulative financial flows. No major public communication identified in June 2026 — to be completed from the Mipise LinkedIn page.

Iznes

Institutional fund tokenisation is accelerating in Europe

IZNES confirms in June 2026 that fund tokenisation is becoming a structural market movement, and no longer an experiment. The platform exceeds €75 billion in cumulative transactions and continues to attract new asset management companies. In a context where Amundi (with CACEIS) is tokenising its first fund and Blockchain.com is filing a confidential S-1 for an IPO, blockchain infrastructure for asset management is becoming standardised.

IZNES's distinction: unlike experimental platforms, it is operational in production with around thirty partner asset management companies (Generali France, Rothschild & Co AM, Amundi, Natixis AM, Lazard Frères Gestion…), solid regulatory approval and a recurring revenue model based on transactions. The natural next step: extension towards tokenised real assets (real estate, private debt) which represent the addressable market of several billion euros.

  • €75bn in cumulative transactions
  • ~30 active partner asset management companies
  • "Best Tokenised Fund Market Infrastructure in Europe" prize 2025
  • Favourable context: $3bn of RWA on XRPL, Amundi/CACEIS tokenisation, Bullish at $4.2bn with Equiniti

June 2026 is a month of recomposition for the InsurTech & FinTech ecosystem. The suspension of the Ledger IPO, far from being a warning signal on the company's fundamentals, illustrates the dichotomy between the operational health of crypto players and the volatility of market conditions. Ledger still secures $100 billion in assets, sells millions of devices and is executing its AI Roadmap — but the listing timing is no longer there. It is paradoxically in these periods of consolidation that the most solid companies differentiate themselves durably.
