Lyon, 17 October 2023 - Mon Petit Placement, the Lyon-based Fintech that democratises financial investment for individuals, announces that it has closed a new 6.5 million euro funding round. This new round was completed mainly with La France Mutualiste, with the support of Mon Petit Placement's historical investors. With this round, the startup aims to work on new distribution channels, continue to expand its offering to address the challenges facing the French, and become the reference platform for first-time investors. Mon Petit Placement is targeting financial breakeven by 2025, while continuing to work for the accessibility of savings products, with the support of La France Mutualiste. Founded more than 130 years ago, the La France Mutualiste group is a specialist in savings and retirement provision that supports more than 295,000 member-clients and manages 8.8 billion in assets. This funding round seals the coming together of two players driven by shared missions: democratising access to savings and investment products for individuals.
Mon Petit Placement, the pioneering Fintech for individual investment
At its previous funding round (6 million euros in November 2021), Mon Petit Placement set itself several objectives: continue structuring its teams in order to support its strong growth momentum, diversify its range of financial products in order to become the leader in investment for individuals in France, and pass the 100 million euro mark in assets under management and the 20,000 investor-client threshold. Mon Petit Placement today has 35 employees, 4 investment portfolios and 7 thematic and responsible investments, with to date 25,000 clients, 115 million euros in assets under management and a strategy of dynamic partnerships. The Fintech has therefore largely achieved its objectives. Mon Petit Placement has become an essential player in the French fintech ecosystem for individual savings.
2023 has in fact been a particularly busy year, with 4 new offerings launched: the anti-inflation portfolio (the first investment that makes it possible to fight the erosion of savings caused by inflation), an investment solution dedicated to children in January, the "Serenity" portfolio in March (a complement to the Livret A to secure one's future), then the Retirement offering in October (life insurance dedicated to preparing for retirement).

To support this growth momentum, Mon Petit Placement has just closed a new 6.5 million euro funding round, mainly with La France Mutualiste, and with the support of its historical investors.
Following this new funding round, Mon Petit Placement has clear objectives: reach financial breakeven by 2025 and take a new step in terms of maturity, both in its positioning and in its offering. Mon Petit Placement plans to launch several workstreams in 2024: work on its brand, product new features, new offerings and hiring (tech and product).
Beyond the funding round, synergies between the startup and La France Mutualiste to democratise investment
This funding round seals the coming together of two entities with aligned missions, working to democratise savings products and investment for individuals. Mon Petit Placement will distribute La France Mutualiste's life insurance and retirement savings plan (PER) products from 2024. For its part, La France Mutualiste will benefit from Mon Petit Placement's expertise in digitisation and will thus be able to develop its digital channels.
"We share with La France Mutualiste a similar culture and similar missions. This coming together allows us to continue our development with the support of a solid partner. We will be able to continue enriching our offering in order to make savings truly accessible to all, that is to say by addressing an overlooked audience that no one wants to advise today but who want to get started and be taken by the hand," Thomas Perret, Chairman and founder of Mon Petit Placement
"By collaborating with Mon Petit Placement, La France Mutualiste is entering the fintech sector to offer a broader, younger and renewed audience savings offerings accessible to all. This defence of savings power for all has been at the heart of our mutualist mission since our creation 130 years ago," Isabelle Le Bot, Chief Executive Officer of La France Mutualiste.
